Speech Works

Laura has been working with West End School for almost a year now and her provision has been invaluable to us and the children. Laura’s professionalism, knowledge and flexibility has meant that we can understand and meet the needs of different children quickly and effectively.

Working together, we have developed a package which works for our pupils, parents and staff supporting the children though quality targets, action plans, detailed sessions and thorough evaluations. Our children are making great strides in their speech and language development and our staff are now more confident in identifying pupils with speech and languages needs and ways we can help them.

Laura, I honestly cannot thank you enough, (she’s the most amazing Speech Therapist ever)!! J wouldn’t be where he is if it wasn’t for you.

Laura has played a huge part in helping our 3 year old to improve his speech. He has significant struggles, but we have seen great forward strides since he has been working with Laura. She has a very friendly and personable nature, getting on brilliantly with our son, but also acts in a professional remit. Our son has really bonded with Laura, and is now growing in confidence and trying new words frequently, we can’t thank her enough!

Laura is fantastic. During the 9 months she’s worked with our son, we’ve seen a massive improvement in his speech. Before working with Laura he was unintelligible to most people including family. Now, he is understood by those he comes into contact with and has the confidence to speak to those he’s only just met. Laura’s knowledge and experience was clear from day one. Our son’s relationship with Laura is relaxed, fun and respectful. Contacting Laura was the best decision we ever made.

Thank you for your brilliant job. My son came out of his shell from the first session with you. It was a joy to see him showing character as the week progressed. I can’t wait for his school to notice and I’m sure his reading will go through the roof!

As a parent it’s amazing to be able to see the progress our son has made in such a short period of time. We do not feel he would have achieved this without Laura’s support. On our first meeting with Laura we could tell that she would work well with our son. She has always gone above and beyond in every session and knows the perfect way to engage him so he enjoys his sessions with her.

Very rarely have we come across professionals like Laura who are friendly, understanding and positive in their approach. We could tell that this wasn’t just a job for her as she always went the extra mile, was passionate and dedicated.
